Housing Counseling Coordinator
The housing counseling coordinator’s responsibility is to take the lead role in handling intake, clerical, and follow up activities regarding housing counseling. This includes answering calls; responding to internet inquiries; when appropriate, scheduling appointments or referring to other community resources; tracking, compiling, scanning, filing, emailing and filing Docusign documents and mailing HEMAP or other housing related paperwork to the appropriate parties.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates foreclosure assistance paperwork
- Coordinates PHFA Pre-close paperwork
- Receives incoming calls.
- Assesses the potential client’s needs and describes the agency’s services. If applicable, creates a lead and schedules appointment.
- Coordinate appointments for Allegheny Save Your Home Program
- Sends appropriate follow documents, such as surveys, to housing counseling clients and clients participating in other agency initiatives
- On an as needed basis, receives e-mails from potential clients and initiates phone contact with these consumers attempting to schedule counseling sessions (when appropriate).
- Retrieves incoming e-mails and creates leads within the agency’s client management system
- Responds to all incoming e-mails by initiating a series of phone contacts and/or when appropriate, written communication.
- Assesses the potential client’s needs and describes the agency’s services. If applicable, imports client record into CreditSoft, completes any missing data and schedules appointment.
- On an as-needed basis, performs duties to assist the counseling staff including receiving, scanning, and saving credit report authorizations.
- Participates in quality assurance initiatives of the organization.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
