PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Head for Development and the Development Team: 

  • Manage the Raiser’s Edge database and all aspects of maintaining and keeping a clean and accurate database
  • Show proven experience in using Raiser’s Edge and report management
  • Work closely with the Grant Writer and mail house to execute four yearly appeals
  • Provide general support for the leadership and Development Department of the school
  • Attend weekly Development Team meetings 
  • Maintain the mission and vision of the school 

NATURE AND SCOPE:

  • Responsible for gift entry, accompanying information such as tributes, memorials, in-kind, and other documentation regarding the gifts 
  • Create necessary acknowledgement letters, merge with addresses in RE, print, stuff, and mail
  • Create reports based on responses to appeal solicitation and reports for the annual report
  • Assist the team with projects such as the annual appeals, events tasks such as RSVP’s, responding to donor inquiries, and creating reports 
  • Create, modify and update Raiser’s Edge record components; maintain RE best practices and standards for data entry and record keeping
  • Update, and maintain all record keeping for donor data; run queries and reports; export data for mail files and send to the mail house
  • Think strategically about the best use of the database
  • Assist the team to implement Workforce
  • Manage integration of Just Giving Platform for peer-to-peer giving
  • Conduct wealth point data searches as needed
  • Assist and support the Development Team members with their database needs
  • Stay abreast of trends and best practices related to the database
  • Attend weekly Development Team meetings; provide updates on projects, duties, and tasks

DONOR RELATIONS:

  • Participate in and assist with meetings, phone calls, letters, reports, emails, and internal and external meetings
  • Assist with the production and management of annual fund appeals (2-4x per year), including copy writing, design, and segmentation in conjunction with TNA’s mailing house, writing acknowledgement letters
  • Assist and support in all mailings, to include, but not limited to annual appeals, development letters, events, informational postcards, etc. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Analytic, logical problem solver
  • Strong IT skills especially Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Flexible and yet focused; not easily distracted.
  • Friendly, hospitable, highly motivated, self-directing.
  • Patient, empathetic, and kind.
  • Quality telephone skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge 
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Federal & Pennsylvania Criminal Background & Child Abuse Clearances
