Middle School Mentor
Communities In Schools is looking for volunteers to be a mentor for our middle school mentoring program Mentors are needed for students in grades 6-8 for North Side Schools: King, Allegheny, Manchester, Manchester Academic Charter, and Morrow. Our program allows for a flexible and low time commitment, needing to only dedicate 45 -60 mins once a week from November through May.
Please note that the program requires mentors to make a commitment through the end of the school year. Mentors are also required to go through our intake process which includes an application, reference check, background check, and in-person interview.
The middle school mentoring program follows school holidays, in-service/testing days, and any inclement weather days.
*** This is an in-person volunteer opportunity. During the COVID pandemic, CISPAC will follow best practices to ensure the safety of our volunteers. Mentors will be provided with PPE and matches will be socially distanced. Mentor interviews will also be conducted remotely.***
