Director of Development, School of Medicine
The University of Pittsburgh's Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) is seeking a Director of Development to join a progressive team within our Health Sciences Individual Giving Department. The Director of Development will be working in close coordination with the Dean of the School designee and will be under the supervision of the PAE's Assistant Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences Strategic Programs and Alumni Relations. The incumbent will plan, organize, and implement the school's development and fundraising plans involving Ph.D. and Graduate alumni within the School of Medicine. Incumbent will take full responsibility for the successful execution of these activities. Flexible hybrid and/or remote work opportunities may be available for this position.
PAE cultivates relationships with contributors, alumni, and other constituents on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, generating support for teaching, research, and care. - Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relatable experience, preferably in an academic or health care fundraising setting
- Experience organizing and implementing a capital campaign
- Marketing, public relations, and/or sales experience
- Master's degree
Equivalent combination of education and transferable / relatable experience will be considered per University guidelines. A current TB test and drug screen will be required as a condition of employment.
