This candidate will provide direct support to members of the Aleph Institute’s staff and executive board through administrative and clerical tasks. Chief duties will include assisting in office needs and administrative activities on a day-to-day basis, as well as helping to compose both intra-office and outreach materials. Applicants must be comfortable with interpersonal communication on a regular basis, as this position will involve liaising with the following: prison and military officials, people in custodial environments, family members of people in prison, donors and others. Other responsibilities will include administrative tasks such as filing, electronic filing, data entry, and management/organization of programming materials, as well as any other miscellaneous tasks that might come up.

Who We’re Looking For:

The Aleph Institute is seeking a candidate with experience in administrative assistance with proficiency in data entry and strong writing skills. Qualified applicants should have prior professional experience in administrative assistance or in an equivalent field, feel comfortable interacting with a diverse range of people, and be able to work well under pressure.

We are a nonprofit Jewish faith-based organization that advocates for individuals who are incarcerated. Aleph was founded on the belief that no individual should ever be alone or forgotten. We are a proponent for the reformation of the criminal justice system and the reduction of recidivism rates through alternative sentencing methods and reentry services.
