The Manager of Corporate & Major Gifts is primarily responsible for meeting the budgeted annual revenue for special events and individual gifts to support the operating budget and mission delivery.  This includes a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies that address donor stewardship, relationship management, retention, and growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Reports to the Director, Fund Development;
  • Responsible for $500,000 portfolio of individual and corporate donors;
  • Manage and lead all strategies pertaining to annual giving with an emphasis on major giving and corporate event revenue;
  • Promote a culture of philanthropy and engagement among board, staff, volunteers, parents and external constituents through increased awareness of philanthropic impact and donor recognition;
  • Identify, cultivate and solicit special event revenue via sponsorship, table sales and ads;
  • Maintain special event financial reporting of revenue and expenses and develop FY special event budgets;
  • Manage the planning, program development and production for special event fundraising initiatives to include venue support, contracts, menus, rentals, seating, and work with venue and catering staff, volunteers and Girl Scout staff;
  • Write and edit event scripts and work with MarComm to manage the publication of all special event materials including signage, invitations and program book;
  • Facilitate and manage volunteer corporate committee;

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of fundraising experience with an emphasis on major donors and large corporate sponsorships;
  • Top notch communicator – writes well and communicates in a clear and understandable manner;
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook and willingness and ability to learn new systems;
  • Expertise in video meeting platforms of Microsoft Teams and Zoom;
  • Experience in donor databases, preferably GiftWorks or Donor Perfect and Constant Contact;
  • Experience developing and managing an annual budget;
  • Must possess a can-do mentality, be responsible, and be a lifelong learner;
  • Must be organized, detail orientated, and customer focused;
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability and willingness to work and maintain a flexible schedule;
  • Occasional regional and local travel (currently limited due to COVID-19);
