The Digital Giving Specialist will support the Food Bank’s fundraising efforts with the goal to retain and acquire donors through a variety of digitally based strategies. This position will work under the supervision of the Director of Individual Giving and in collaboration with other development staff and partners to manage continuous growth in online revenue and create a best-in-class online experience for our supporters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Multi-Channel Fundraising

  • Play a key role in overall fundraising goals – build digital strategies designed to grow and diversify online donor-base and engage and retain existing donors
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Digital Media Specialist (MARCOM) regularly, to ensure consistency and collaboration of Food Bank’s digital strategies across departments
  • Work with direct response agency and other vendors to ensure coordinated and integrated fundraising/supporter strategies

Online Giving Strategy

  • Help maintain and optimize online donation forms, processes and user experiences
  • Track and monitor analytics to inform our digital fundraising channels and determine best practices and strategies
  • Create and deploy emails to support solicitation, engagement and stewardship strategies
  • Assist in maintaining peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns in collaboration with Community Fundraising Team
  • Provide quality and timely technical troubleshooting support to other Development team members and online donors

Monthly Giving Program

  • Build plans to actively and continuously convert donors to sustainer giving
  • Retain and steward a group of 3,000+ sustainer donors

Development Team Player

  • Serve as an active member of the Development team, contributing to goal setting, revenue generation and the refinement of processes and procedures
  • Work with Development colleagues to ensure clean data is a priority
  • Provide onsite and offsite support for other activities as needed
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred and/or at least two years of professional fundraising experience within a nonprofit or advertising agency
  • General understanding of fundraising best practices, familiarity with digital fundraising benchmarks and trends preferred
  • Comfort with digital donor management platforms and databases (i.e., Donor Perfect, Qgiv, Raisers Edge or other similar tools)
  • Experience with Constant Contact, Google Analytics, Facebook/Instagram and WordPress preferred
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), demonstrable skills in creating reports and working in Excel preferred
