Hello Neighbor is currently seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator to join our growing Marketing and Development team. The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Director of Development, Hello Neighbor leadership team, and the organization, including Board and Committee meeting coordination, managing office systems, and supporting the accounting, and development functions of the organization. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Development.

The Hello Neighbor fundraising program includes: individual donors, corporate donors, corporate sponsors, fundraising and revenue generating events (both in Pittsburgh and around the country), online campaigns, foundation grants and government grants.

Founded in 2017, Hello Neighbor works to improve the lives of refugee and immigrant families by matching them with dedicated neighbors to guide and support them in their new lives. 2022 marks our 5th year of operation and our first with a $1million dollar budget. We have an ambitious year of anniversary activations planned and are excited to post this newly created position to join the team and hit the ground running.

This is an in-house position at our Pittsburgh, PA office in Larimer. We are currently on a hybrid return-to-work and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We require COVID-19 vaccination for full-time employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads gift tracking and processing gift acknowledgments, appeal and stewardship mailings, data entry, and maintaining the donor CRM.
  • Maintains donation platforms, ensuring compliance updates, account renewals, and profiles are up to date and we are utilizing them to their fullest potential.
  • Prepares annual year-end tax receipts for donors, ensuring donor data accuracy.
  • Provides planning, logistics, and on-site staff support for events.
  • Provides accounting and development support including processing and coding invoices and preparing deposits.
  • Fields general organizational inquiries via phone, email, and visitors.
  • Provides general staff support and performs other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Provides support to the Director of Development, including campaign development strategy and execution and fulfilling the Fund Development Annual Plan and goals tied to the organization’s Strategic Plan.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of internal information-sharing systems and record-keeping structure and filing systems.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of nonprofit fundraising/development experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also as a team player who productively engages with others at varying levels within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
  • Knowledge of CRM software
  • Experience writing digital content a plus
  • You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • You have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
