Education Manager

Website helloneighborhq Hello Neighbor

Under the leadership of the Executive Director and Family Services Director, the Education Manager will support Hello Neighbor’s Study Buddy program. Hello Neighbor launched Study Buddy in Fall 2020 in response to COVID-19 and the challenges refugee students were facing with remote learning. Our program pairs tutors with refugee middle and high school students for 1-1 virtual weekly tutoring sessions. The Education Manager will organize educational strategies and manage learning resources to develop new initiatives that focus on the needs of refugee and immigrant youth to overcome barriers that hinder their learning and prevent them from excelling in their education.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the education of local refugee and immigrant students by leading and continuing to develop a program in its early stages. We are looking for someone with the strategic vision to create how we expand our educational offering while maintaining the core integrity of the current program.

Founded in 2017, Hello Neighbor works to improve the lives of recently resettled refugee families by matching them with dedicated neighbors to guide and support them in their new lives. We’ve expanded from our mentorship program to now include refugee resettlement services, family service programs, a national program supporting other refugee and immigrant nonprofits around the country.

2022 marks our 5th year of operation. We have an ambitious year of anniversary activations planned and are excited to post this newly created position to join the team and hit the ground running.
