Overseeing out of school time programming for youth

Are you looking for a position that will make a difference in children’s lives, while supervising after-school and summer programs that are considered a models in the county?  This position may be right for you!

The Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC) in Turtle Creek is looking to fill a full-time Out of School Time (OST) Coordinator which administers and oversees the daily operations of our Youth LIFE After-School and KOOL Summer Programs for low-income 1st-5th graders residing in the Mon Valley. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The tentative start date for the position is June 14, 2021.

A qualified applicant must have a passion for educating youth, experience working with children, supervisory experience, and possess a Bachelor’s degree. Candidates must possess Act 33/34 and FBI clearances (obtained within last 5 years) or at least start applying for them to be considered for an interview. In addition, applicant must have own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record.

Major responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the daily oversight of the after-school and summer programs, oversee the math and reading curriculum geared to increase performance on state standardized testing, evaluate youth’s progress in OST programming throughout the year, and recruit, hire, and supervise all program staff and team members.

This full-time position is a salaried position with a range of $38,000 to $40,000 per year with an exceptional benefits package (including free health insurance, outstanding retirement plan with no match necessary and plenty of time off). Academic school year hours are generally Monday through Friday 10:00AM-6:00PM. Summer hours are generally Monday through Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM.
