Working with elementary students in an academic summer program

The Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC) is currently seeking candidates for part-time temporary work in the KOOL Summer Program in Turtle Creek for low-income first-fifth graders which runs July 1-August 13, 2021 (closed July 5). You must possess current Act 33/34 and FBI clearances or at least start applying for them to be considered for an interview.
The HSCC is following all CDC recommendations and our procedures are considered “low risk”. Small groups of students will stay together all day, each day. Participants will remain at least 6 feet apart inside and will not share objects. Outdoor activities will be prioritized. Masks will be mandated to be worn at all times aside from meal times.
The Education Associates are responsible for overseeing a classroom of youth, developing and implementing math and reading lessons on a weekly basis, implementing an online academic curriculum, and planning lots of other activities daily, among other duties. High energy is needed – lots of time is spent outside and indoors playing with and supervising the participants. Hours are Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM-4:30PM. The pay is $15/hour for 40 hours per week.
