Remote Volunteering from Home

Website northsidefoodpantry Northside Food Pantry

Food pantry serving our neighbors in Pittsburgh's Northside

Remote volunteers work from home with a real computer, need a mouse and keyboard, calling our food pantry clients and taking their grocery order over the phone. You will email the order to us here at the pantry and the order will be filled within one hour, the client picks it up curbside at our facility in the Northside of Pittsburgh,PA. An hour or two of training and you’re ready to work. Remotes find this work very fulfilling, being able to have a full conversation with people wanting our service. The client calls into our one phone line to start the process, we email one of the remote volunteers the client name and phone number. You will call someone who is expecting your call and wants to place an order. This entire process takes less than two hours. Remote volunteers are needed 8:30am -11:45am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. You can volunteer one, two or three days per week. We do want regular help, not one time assistance, with the training and learning curve.
