This full-time, salaried position is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s daily accounts payable (A/P) functions, including disbursements, vendor relations, and reconciliations, with the goals of increasing A/P efficiency and improving A/P processes while ensuring complete, timely, and accurate records. This position works closely with all members of the Finance Department to support sound payment practices and provide outstanding customer service to internal staff and external vendors. The Accountant/Specialist engages in a multitude of deadline-driven accounting activities including weekly vendor check runs, general ledger entry preparation, monthly financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation. Candidates should have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with exceptional Excel skills. Familiarity and/or comfort working with accounting software systems is required and knowledge of Sage Intact and Yooz AP Automation is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. This individual should also possess outstanding communication and time management skills. The position requires a minimum of three years’ experience working in accounts payable, accounting, or finance.

Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required, bachelor’s degree preferred. The salary range for this position starts at $45,000.
