Clinical Supervisor

Clinical Supervisor Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision to Therapists, Resource Coordinator, program interns for the Detox & Rehab Program. The Clinical Supervisor also carries a caseload and provides direct care to clients including individual, family, and group therapy.

Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Function autonomously and utilize appropriate judgment in the analysis and problem solving of day-to-day, as well as crisis, situations.
  • Assist with hiring and training new staff.
  • Meet regularly with and provide clinical supervision to clinical team.
  • Evaluate clinical staff and work in collaboration with Program Manager to complete Performance Reviews.
  • Facilitate Treatment Team meetings and Case Consultations.
  • Facilitate completion of Annual Training Surveys/Individual Training Plans, assess clinical training needs of clinical staff and review results with Program Manager and Clinical Director.
  • Assist Manager with ensuring continuous quality improvement and monitor compliance with Department of Drug and Alcohol Program Licensure and all other State, County and regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Recommend updates to Program Manual and other policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision to therapists across the agency requiring licensed supervision for their licensure as needed.

Client Care Responsibilities 

  • Conduct screening interviews, ASAM assessments and bio-psychosocial assessments.  Based on ASAM level of care assessments, obtain authorizations for treatment and assign new clients to Therapists.
  • Identify treatment needs, develop individualized treatment plans with clients and review treatment plans as required.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, and family and couples counseling as needed.
  • Provide psycho-education and other life skills classes.
  • Make referrals for psychiatric and other clinical treatment services as needed, and act as liaison between provider and POWER.
  • Conduct follow-up surveys.
  • Complete all paperwork requirements.
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation.
  • Participate in staff development and training as required.

Requirements

  • LCSW or LPC licensure.
  • Five years’ experience in substance use disorder treatment programs, with a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Value and exhibit excellent customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to utilize an electronic medical record.
  • Able to be on-call as needed to meet needs of clients and staff.
  • Self-directed and flexible to meet the needs of administration and management, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Understand and support a trauma informed system of care.
  • Model and support clients and staff in health and wellness activities and with using healthy coping skills.
  • Support organization’s mission with a sensitivity of cultural diversity and workplace harmony.
  • Ability to secure Act 33 and 34 clearances.

Starting annual rate $48,000
