Queen’s Gambit is proud to offer an internship program, specifically aimed at people under the age of 25 with an interest in nonprofit management, marketing and communications, community relations, and special projects. The internship is remote with opportunities to attend partnership, board, and community meetings as well as programming (classes, clubs, and tournament) events. Aligned with our mission of youth leadership and individual-based curriculum, Queen’s Gambit seeks to empower each intern by crafting a program that works best for them. We will work with each individual to find projects and work that will best serve their journey and career interests. While the position is unpaid right now, we will work with colleges or schools for credit. This internship includes unique opportunities to network and possibly future employment. We are seeking energetic, responsible, and driven interns. Hours are flexible but should be about 15 per week.

Special Projects Intern:

  • Support the CEO with major project tasks as needed including Proud Pennsylvanian, Pittsburgh Neighborhood Project, and the Power of 100
  • Facilitate conversations and relationships with external partners including individuals and organizations
  • Build networking guides and directories for stronger communication in the future
