Seton Hill University is seeking a Director of Foundation, Government and Corporate Grantsmanship to work in partnership with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and the Executive Director for Principal Gifts and Community Engagement to manage grant-related fundraising and stewardship activity for private foundations, government entities and corporate funders in support of Seton Hill University priorities. The Director is an integral member of the Advancement team who writes, develops, submits, and tracks proposals and grant reports, conducts donor/prospect research, identifies and qualifies funding sources, coordinates acknowledgement letters to steward corporate and foundation gifts, and maintains fundraising reports.
A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to write compelling and strategic letters of inquiry, funding proposals and stewardship reports. Knowledge of or aptitude for developing logic models, budgets, and financial reports is required. Experience with identifying and qualifying new institutional prospects and the ability to work in partnership with a wide-range of campus and/or community representatives is required. Aptitude to meet tight deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional work style is required. Ability to work independently while thriving as a successful member of an integrated, team-oriented environment is also required. Experience managing a growing grants schedule that includes federal grant funding is preferred.
