The Director of Media Outreach in the Office of Communications and Marketing will hold prime responsibility for proactive outreach to secure media coverage of Pitt initiatives, programs, and faculty. Develop strategic plans to increase overall coverage in key thematic areas and serves as an advisor to faculty members and other staff on media interactions. Cultivate relationships with key reporters, including Pittsburgh media, higher ed journalists, and subject-matter reporters.
Remote work arrangements will be considered.
Bachelor’s required, Masters preferred. At least 5 years of experience in an intermediate or senior level communications role.
