The Senior Director, Content Strategy provides leadership to the content development team within Pitt’s Office of Communications and Marketing, guiding the ongoing development and integration of multiple channels, including the Pittwire website, Pittwire newsletter, Pitt Magazine, Pitt Med Magazine, and other publications and websites as necessary This person will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall editorial vision aimed at supporting the University’s reputation and enhancing brand positioning. They will manage the editors of each channel, identify opportunities for synergies among them. They will work closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor to ensure that editorial projects support overall strategy.
Remote work arrangements will be considered.
Must have significant editorial experience, ideally managing a daily news site either as a journalist or communications professional. Experience in multimedia storytelling. Demonstrated creativity and leadership ability.
