The University of Pittsburgh’s Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join a progressive team within our Health Sciences Planned Giving Department. The Administrative Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Health Sciences Planned Giving Department. The employee must be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Strong computer, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are essential for success. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for: – Providing error-free, administrative assistance to the Planned Giving Department, which will involve projects and assignments with varying degrees of complexity; – Drafting, composing and editing essential documents, mail management, procurement procedures, budget management and reconciliation, and other rotating duties; – Managing the front desk phone line.

Bachelor’s degree with two to three years administrative support/office management and/or related experience is required. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office is expected. Proficiency with fundraising software is preferred. Candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience working in health care, higher education or other non-profit environment is preferred. Experience working in a professional office environment where tact and discretion is valued is also preferred.
