The Recruitment Assistant will be an integral member of the student recruitment and marketing team within the School of Nursing’s Department of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations (SAAR).

This individual will assist with student recruitment efforts with emphasis on graduate and accelerated second degree nursing students. Incumbent may be required to attend University, local, regional, and some national events for student recruitment purposes.

The incumbent will coordinate and assist with various operations of the recruitment and marketing staff. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating recruitment events, managing event registrations; coordinating travel arrangements; maintaining recruitment and marketing materials inventory; entering prospective student data and inquiries into the recruitment database/content management system; communicating with prospective students; maintaining the work schedule for the student recruiters; providing support for special events; maintaining the recruitment calendar; and assisting with other recruitment and marketing activities as needed.

Individual must possess excellent communication and organization skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects.

Position requires periodically working hours outside of the typical work week, which may involve some evening, Saturday or Sunday activities.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree and five or more years of relevant experience can be substituted for degree requirement. Excellent communication skills. Excellent computer skills and an ability to understand and learn new software.
