Youth Enrichment Services (YES) is a high-impact, innovative, community, and youth-driven organization whose primary mission is to empower youth through mentorship, education, and enrichment. As a Program Coordinator, one will be charged with coordinating and facilitating YES’ Pathways to Access Program (PAP), an opportunity designed to provide workforce development training, workforce experience and career exploration for high school youth. In this role, the Program coordinator will creatively and innovatively engage young people in diverse experiences that prepare them for post-secondary educational and career opportunities.

The role more specifically requires:

Program Development, Management, and Implementation

  • Manage, implement, and facilitate career spotlights, career workshops, and tutoring/ test prep sessions
  • Create non-traditional career experiences for youth participants and oversee grade level portfolio development
  • Support student facing activities along with job shadowing and work experience phase of programming
  • Codify and systematize program materials and structures to further develop the program infrastructure, longevity, and sustainability

Case Management

  • Recruit, enroll, and register youth for program by obtaining the following documentation: SSC, Birth certificate, Citizenship, Proof of residency, Personal monthly gross income, Verification of activity, TANF YOP application, and signed authorization form
  • Uphold case management system with fidelity by regularly updating Report Card information, Employment History Documentation (I9, W4, timesheets, program attendance), ISS Data, Case Notes, Program Assessments (Career Cluster), and Student Work
  • Hold ISS (quarterly), school visit (quarterly), and mid-quarter check-in meetings with participants and transcribe case notes and update service delivery log regularly
  • Administer youth assessments as per program goals to include in case files
  • Communicate issues in management early with areas of delegation outlined

Data/ Evaluation 

  • Ensure attendance, assessment, and general program records are maintained, updated, and communicated in an effective reporting structure
  • Complete student enrollment reports by grant deadline

Other

  • Develop relationships with families and students and build partnerships with community and professional leaders to promote and enhance program visibility and efficiency
  • Support other workforce related programming, YES school year and summer programming, and organizational goals

Credentials

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of combined program, teaching, facilitation, and/or case management experience
  • Experience working with youth from marginalized and minoritized communities

Desired Requirements:

  • Master’s Degrees in Teaching, Business, Social Work, Organizational Leadership, Management, or Educational Administration
  • Experience working with youth from marginalized and minoritized communities
