The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh (BCP) has been a cultural touchstone in the Pittsburgh arts scene since its founding in 1934. Initially dedicated to performing and celebrating the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, BCP has evolved into an inclusive ensemble that performs a wide range of choral works spanning centuries. Today, BCP is distinguished in Pittsburgh’s choral arts landscape as the premiere “innovative experience choir,” characterized by forward-looking programming that respects artistic tradition while exposing audiences to fresh interpretations of classic works as well as new compositions in an array of settings.
