Since 1976, Blackburn Center has advocated for the rights of all individuals to live free from domestic and sexual violence and other forms of violence. We achieve this goal by providing for the safety and well-being of victims and survivors, and by addressing the root causes of violence in our communities.
Our team offers a full range of services to victims and survivors of violence and crime, including:
*A 24 hour hotline
*An emergency shelter for victims of intimate partner violence
*Counseling and therapy
*Support groups
*Medical Advocacy/Accompaniment
*Legal System Support
*Civil legal services through Blackburn Center Legal
We also provide services to the community, including training and education programs for schools, businesses, and organizations. Our staff also works directly with local universities on special projects, provides educational material free of charge to parents and educators, and hosts special events like WALK a MILE in Their HER His Our Shoes.
