The Center for Metal Arts (CMA) is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches hands-on skills in forging and metalsmithing. Through hands-on workshops, students learn how to forge and form metal using traditional tools and techniques. Our mission is to provide high quality educational programs in a safe, well-equipped environment that honors the long history and traditions of this craft. We are committed to making these learning opportunities accessible to a wide range of artists, craftspeople, and students from across the United States and around the world. Core to our mission is preserving the historic Cambria Iron Company facilities in Johnstown, Pennsylvania by actively using them as a place of learning, creativity, and craft.
