Join the CISV Pittsburgh Board of Directors – Make a Global Impact Locally
Are you passionate about building global friendships, fostering intercultural understanding, and empowering youth to be active global citizens? The Children’s International Summer Villages (CISV) Pittsburgh Chapter is seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join our Board of Directors.
CISV is a global organization dedicated to educating and inspiring action for a more just and peaceful world. Our local chapter is part of an international network providing life-changing experiences through international camps and local programs for children and youth aged 11-17. Fully volunteer lead, we are looking for board members to plan programs and organize members.
We’re looking for board members who:
Believe in CISV’s mission of peace education and youth empowerment
Bring skills in areas such as leadership, event planning, fundraising, communications, nonprofit governance, finance, or youth development
Are team-oriented, dependable, and eager to contribute time and ideas
Want to help shape the future of our chapter and expand our reach in the Pittsburgh community
Board Member Responsibilities:
Attend quarterly virtual board meetings and monthly in person chapter meetings
Support strategic planning and local chapter development
Contribute to fundraising and community engagement efforts
Serve as ambassadors for CISV and promote program participation
Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure smooth program operations
