Eco-Soap Bank is an award-winning, globally-focused, Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization that employs women to recycle leftover soap from factories which is redistributed to children in order to save lives. The organization was founded in 2015 and has reached over 6.5 million children with recycled soap and hygiene education across 25 countries. Furthermore, the organization employs 160 women in 5 developing countries in Africa and Asia.
Lastly, the organization has received a CNN Heroes award, Forbes '30 under 30' award, Rotary International's Presidential Award, Duke-UNICEF Innovation Award, UN's One Young World Award, Unilever's Young Entrepreneur Award, Earth Company's Impact Hero Award, The Johnson Institute's Emerging Leader Award, amongst others.
