La Escuelita Arcoiris was founded 23 years ago on the principles of offering quality, affordable Spanish language immersion to early childhood learners and their families- both native speaking and non-native
speaking populations. We build bridges daily as we connect Pittsburgh’s latinx community of Spanish speaking adults, teachers, and children to those who have an interest in broadening their world on a daily basis.
We bring diverse ideas, cultures, and lives together, providing dynamic opportunities for children to connect with the world around them. As a nature-based program, our little learners are outside everyday- in our
outdoor classroom as creators and makers, or as participants in the life of the neighborhood at the local library, businesses, playgrounds, and parks. Our curriculum is creative and child-focused.
La Escuelita Arcoiris offers year-round programs for toddlers through kindergarten as well as alumni after school programs and summer camps for elementary-aged children. We are committed to creating a culture of ethnic, racial, cultural and socioeconomic diversity in the school- preparing children for the world we anticipate.
We not only accept Early Learning Resource Center child care subsidies and we are a Head Start Program, but we also have a community-supported scholarship fund to ensure that all families who wish to attend Escuelita are financially able to do so.
