We are excited to welcome candidates for a newly formed position of Marketing and Communication Specialist to support the advancement of Bishop Canevin High School. This is a full-time, exempt position and we are willing to discuss a hybrid and/or flexible work schedule.

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will assist the school’s Administration to create a memorable first impression of Bishop Canevin High School. You will support our internal and external communications, special event planning, admissions and advancement activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Administrative team to fully understand the school and its communication needs.
  • Conduct comparitive analysis of competing organizations, developing a unique commnnications technique.
  • Design and create a variety of content to support admissions and advancement including digital and print communications, event flyers, postcards, videos.
  • Develop and execute a social media plan.
  • Write content for admissions and advancement newsletters, emails, letters, and brochures.
  • Take photos and videos for use in marketing materials and social media.
  • Collaborate with school committees and clubs to help tell the story of Bishop Canevin.
  • Assist with planning special events such as open houses, middle school events, and other admissions and advancement activities.
  • Support Bishop Canevin at community fairs and events.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with administration, faculty, staff, students, and prospective families.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, demonstrate flexibility and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Constant Contact and design software.
  • Ability to execute social media campaigns using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • One to five years of related experience.
