Our Product Flow Coordinator (PFC) works across departments to optimize the experience of Partners and Programs in understanding and accessing product from the Food Bank’s inventory. This role prioritizes the timely distribution of perishable and slow-moving product, particularly through innovative ordering processes such as our just-in-time produce distribution model, ‘Advance Choice’. The PFC will collaborate to balance customer/agency needs with sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and financial considerations. Success in this position will require hearing the needs of many different internal and external stakeholders and finding and implementing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Work across teams to meet partners’ fresh food needs.
  • Use Advance Choice Allocation Model to build daily produce orders for Partners and Programs. Facilitate just-in-time distribution of the freshest produce possible to our network. Provide oversight to accuracy and timeliness of Programs data used in the Model.
  • Guide improvements to Advance Choice model as we integrate it into our new Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP).
  • Serve as a liaison between the Food Bank and our member agencies to identify, report on, and solve inventory needs.
  • Support the Supply Optimization and Network Compliance teams to ensure orders placed online and by back-end users are complete, accurate, and in compliance.
  • Work closely with Sourcing, Inventory Control, and Operations Warehouse teams to ensure customer orders are processed correctly and on time.
  • Monitor inventory and help market slow-moving and perishable food to programs and partners.
  • Develop and disseminate information to help programs and partners understand what is on inventory and how to access it.
  • Implement plans to improve general supply optimization, including reducing food waste and improving inventory turns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  •  Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience. 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Sharepoint, and Outlook. Ability to learn and use ERP software.
  • Excellent organizational, reasoning, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and interpret data and summarize into presentable information.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with members from various departments and organizations.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced and fluid work environment.
  • Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of employment. Act 33 & Act 34 Clearances.
