Hello Neighbor is seeking an Employment Case Aide who will support the efforts of the Resettlement Team as they welcome Pittsburgh’s newest neighbors. The Employment Case Aide will support the Employment Coordinators.

This is an in-house position at our Pittsburgh, PA office in Larimer. We are currently on a hybrid return-to-work and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We require COVID-19 vaccination and a booster for full-time employees.

Reports To: Director of Refugee Resettlement

Key Responsibilities

(1) Refugee Support Services:

  • Assists the Employment Team with documentation and preparation for intakes and service planning.
  • Supports case management and employment services for a client’s post-90-day period in the United States, up to 5 years. 
  • Provides bus orientation for clients beginning new jobs. This will also include directions for new medical appointments and any orientation that contributes to self-sufficiency. 
  • Aid the Employment Team with supportive services provided during office hours like rental payments, mail, question and answer, and applications. 
  • Help the Employment Team with resume creation.
  • Supports Employment Coordinators with the job search. 
  • Coordinates pre and post-employment training by scheduling office space, interpreters, and calling families. 
  • Helps clients to reach their goals, address challenges and utilize available resources.

(2) Administrative:

  • Provide timely, detailed case notes for all employment and case management services.
  • Supports the Employment Team with timely, accurate case note documentation and updates client files and records weekly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Requires 1 year of related and/or applicable work experience and a demonstrated ability to effectively work with refugee and immigrant communities
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Car, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Willingness to transport families in your own personal vehicle
  • Alignment with and support of Hello Neighbor’s core values
  • Flexibility and ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Experience with GSuite is a plus.
