Rising Tide Partners (RT) collaborates with neighborhood organizations and residents to implement their community vision by employing restorative real estate practices, laying the groundwork for the wealth building and stability of residents who have suffered from systemic injustices in land-use decisions. Systemic Injustice demands a systematic response.  

We work with community partners to proactively acquire real estate in order to preserve affordable housing and allow people to stay in their neighborhoods. We support our community partners on a community decision-making process to determine the best end use for real estate. By creating and implementing real estate strategies we help communities achieve their visions. RT is an urban land developer and community development organization that is assembling and managing large portfolios of occupied and vacant properties. RT will work with many partners for the permanent development of properties and projects that restore communities. This large scale of site control enables transformative efforts that preserve and create affordable housing, homeownership, crime reduction and other community visions.


On the financial side, this person will assist the F&A Director in tracking RTP and its subsidiaries’ financials. These duties include but are not limited to assisting with basic bookkeeping, accounts payable, reconciling cash accounts, entering financials of real estate acquisitions, researching and assessing GL classifications, and identifying errors in class associations. In addition, he/she/they may assist with creating financial reports for multiple audiences. On the administrative side, this person will take direction from the HR and Operations Manager to perform a variety of tasks associated with multiple administrative processes. 


  • Tracking financial entries. Ensure all transactions are accurate, appropriately allocated, and documented timely (i.e., budgets, grants, program tracking, etc.).
  • Tracking accounts payable (i.e., credit card transactions, check payments, reconcile accounts payable, contact vendors to resolve issues as needed, etc.)
  • Generating financial reports for multiple audiences. Associating expenses with sources of funding, continually learning and refining knowledge of funding sources.  
  • Assisting with Annual Audit
  • Learning to interact with multiple QuickBooks online accounts
  • Reconciling expenses by Property
  • All other duties assigned


  • Scanning and sorting mail
  • Digital and physical file management 
  • Answering public queries via email and by phone
  • Tracking projects with Google sheets, docs, and other GSuite tools
  • Tracking meeting notes, action items and deliverables 
  • Office Supply Inventory
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Relates and compares data from different sources, identifies issues, secures relevant information and identifies relationships
  • Is able to work without a Guidebook

  • Dedicated and Hard Working
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, 
  • Technologically savvy
  • Quick learner
  • Previous knowledge of financial software is a plus but not required (QuickBooks experience is even better)
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suite of applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Office, Excel, Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc…) 
  • Special emphasis on Excel / Sheets
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
