Volunteer Chess Instructor
We are seeking dedicated, driven and enthusiastic volunteers who believe in and support our mission to teach chess to the Pittsburgh community. The volunteer chess instructor will be a vital member of the Chess for Pittsburgh's Youth™ team. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading a chess class at a Pittsburgh Public School, charter school, or community center
- Working with youth grades 1-12 and acting as a mentor/support system as well as chess coach
- Using Queens Gambit's official curriculum to teach chess & strategic leadership
- Attending trainings for chess & strategic leadership
- Being an advocate for our organization in the community
Experience working with nonprofit organizations or youth education programs is preferred but not required. Please note this role has the opportunity to become a paid, contractor position.
