Board Member

New Beginnings Transitional Living Foundation, Inc. is currently seeking Directors for its Board. We are looking for people with experience and expertise in the following areas:

• Organizational Governance and Planning
• Marketing and Public Relations
• Outreach and Education
• Development and Fundraising

The mission of New Beginnings is to provide recovery housing, education, training and supportive services to people struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. A strong personal background of lived-in experience with recovery from substance use or mental health disorders is highly desired. New Beginnings currently operates and manages six recovery houses with 55 beds for men and women throughout the Pittsburgh area. It also develops and produces a number of outreach and educational recovery-based activities throughout its communities on an annual basis.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of New Beginnings Transitional Living Foundation. Directors are involved in many aspects of operations, including financial oversight, programmatic development and strategic planning. 

Directors are expected to attend quarterly Board of Director meetings either in-person or virtually. Director terms are three years and financial contributions are not necessarily required.
