Job Description
The Career Path Internship (CPI) Program Off-campus Internship Coordinator will act as a connection point for all off-campus CPI internships. This position will build and maintain relationships with current hosting organizations and initiate relationships with potential new hosting organizations locally, regionally, and throughout the state. Key responsibilities include:
- Initiate and maintain regular contact with organizations currently hosting CPI interns
- Educate current and potential hosting organizations on the CPI program and it's requirements
- Utilize excellent networking skills to build long-lasting relationships with employers throughout the region and state
- Maintain the CPI off-campus hosting application system including
- Authenticating applicant's organizations and proposed internship positions
- Initiating introductory meetings with the applicant to provide an overview of the CPI program
- Providing information and documents pertaining to the liability agreements required by Idaho State University
- Coordinate and execute regular site visits for all hosting organizations
- Ensure site supervisor is providing regular mentoring opportunities with each student, including student evaluation
- Report and track key statistics as required by ISU leadership
- Work closely with CPI staff, JLD Coordinator and Career Center staff to develop and maintain relationships with alumni, faculty and staff to strategically target local and regional organizations that will provide the highest caliber internship opportunities for ISU students
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Bachelor's degree/completion of Bachelor's degree by June 2023 OR
- Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience in a related field
- A dynamic, professional demeanor with exceptional organization, written, and public speaking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, governmental officials, elected officials, University faculty, staff, and students
- Proficient in computer use, data entry, and productivity software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven organizational and time management skills to prioritize assignments, manage multiple projects simultaneously, under deadline pressures, and with fluctuating priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with employer relations, from a higher education or a business perspective
- Knowledge of the major employers and industries in the South East Idaho region and throughout the state
- A demonstrated ability to establish key relationships with business community leaders
- Previous experience with Handshake or higher education job searching platforms
Additional Information

Salary will be between $50,000 and $52,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
